Stopping Violence, Saving Lives In Detroit for over 50 years!

We have moved our operations onto the Marygrove Campus. This location is a pre-school to university campus. This location is perfect for our mission.

This past year over 90% of students surveyed increased their ability to do critical thinking to reflect rather than react to challenges that cross their path daily. They are prepared to make a difference as they enter the adult world. Your past investment has enabled us to make a major difference in the lives and futures of over 180,000 young adults and their families!

We are dependent on your generosity to continue to enable us to reach the future generations of teens living in at risk environments.

We are proud to share a tremendous moment with all of you:

A local chapter of the Knights of Columbus donated $1,500 to Life Directions to award a Scholarship to a graduating Senior in our Peer Motivation Program at Western International High School in Detroit.

Guided by Jim Ryder, Life Directions Program Manager, Ricky and Nathanael have been participants in Life Directions’ programs since freshman year, first with our Peer Motivation program and then as Peer Mentors to eighth grade students at a neighboring middle school. Raised by their sister, their family is also active in our Focus Family program.

Both are college bound: Nataneal will be attending Eastern MI Univ. and Ricky, who received the scholarship, will be attending Grand Valley State University! Congratulations to them both!

Please go to our website (www.lifedirections.org) to learn more and to support our mission to stop violence and save lives.
Our gratitude to you for making moments like these possible!
