Chicago's Compassion
While conflict is something common to all young adults, conflict in caring isn't. In today's divided, unstable world young adults are often conditioned to react, seek revenge and retaliate. Empathy, caring and human concern are in drought, while gang violence, domestic abuse, and suicide bombings seem to rain down in abundance.
Chicago's story demonstrates how Life Directions young adults actively encourage and inspire their peers to be more compassionate. We hope that you too are inspired by what you are about to read!
Joining forces with Hands for Peace, an organization that brings Palestinian, Israelis, and American youth together for dialogue and bridge building, Life Directions recently organized an opportunity for youth to come together and talk about middle-eastern conflict, urban life and more.
